Wood Burning Stoves

Wood-burning stoves are now being found in an increasing number of homes throughout Britain. They have long been a favourite in the countryside but these days wood-burning stoves are no longer a niche product and the numerous benefits associated with them are appealing to the masses. Wood Burning Stoves create the perfect focal point in any living room, whilst still providing an excellent heat source. By installing a wood burning stove you are going to benefit from eco-friendly home heating.

Technological advancements with wood burning stoves, means carbon dioxide is released into the stove rather than the atmosphere. This means once the gases are released from the stove, they are then fed back into the fire to burn off any excess gases. The Carbon Dioxide that is released during the burning process is the same that would be released if a tree was to fall and rot in a forest. Therefore making this fuel choice extremely environmentally friendly.

Wood burning stoves are also dirt-free, 80% more efficient than a traditional fire and have an inbuilt upward draught so you can get a fierce blaze, unlike some open fires. According to David Spencer at the Stove Industry Alliance, 180,000 wood-burners were installed last year, with close to one million homes in Britain now having one. The National Association of Chimney Sweeps says business has increased 40 per cent over the past couple of years as a result of this stove mania.
